What’s with the name?
The Banyan Deer are a reference to my favorite Jataka Tale, a collection of stories about the Buddha's lives before he was enlightened. You can read it here
Fun Fact - The Buddha taught his first sermon in the deer park in Sarnath, India. Sarnath means "Lord of the Deer", a reference ito this Jataka Tale.
